During your visit we will discuss and administer needed vaccines, write a prescription for anti-malarial medication where applicable, and provide you with advice that can include food and water precautions, altitude sickness, dengue fever, managing intestinal problems while abroad and more based on your itinerary. All vaccines are stocked at the clinic.
Because travel medicine is not covered by the Ontario government, the cost of the visit and most vaccines is borne by the traveller.
The clinic sells mosquito bed nets and oral rehydration salt. We donate a portion of the proceeds to Doctors Without Borders.
Approximately 45% of travellers are referred to our clinic by their family physicians, another 45% by word of mouth, while the remainder find us on the internet. The clinic has a reputation for recommending vaccines and anti-malarial medication only when warranted after a thorough appraisal of each itinerary.
