HOW TO GET YOUR DOCUMENT OF RECOVERY
  1. Check to see that your lab report is acceptable. It must show your name and date of birth. It must originate from and show the name and address of a clinic, pharmacy or lab. Home tests are not acceptable unless done as a video appointment with a health professional with a report issued. Reports of tests done via the public health testing sites are not always acceptable as they sometimes do not show the full name and date of birth.
  2. Book an appointment (below) as soon as convenient. You are actually booking a phone appointment. The nurse will call you. You will be asked to send us your lab report. If it is acceptable, she will set up an online appointment. That takes place 9 days or more (and 90 days or less) from the date of your positive COVID test. During that video visit, she will ask you health-related questions, watch while you take your temperature, and check your identification.
  3. We cannot issue a letter of recovery if your flight departs less than 10 full days from the date of your positive test.
  4. Your Documentation of Recovery will be sent out within a few hours of receiving clearance. Occasionally the letter cannot be granted, for example because you are still ill with COVID symptoms. In such a case, another assessment can be done a few days later at no additional charge. Or if you prefer, we can refund half the cost.
